The original lineup consisted of Doc on keys/vox, Prong on guitar/vox, Paul Bernstein on bass/vox, Corn Man Pig on drums and his brother Darcy on percussion. This CD contains all the studio recordings by this group, followed by 8 live tracks. Polyrhythmic long-haired flowerchild punk rock, with in-concert assaults on Neil, Jimi and the Airplane.

Naked Ape went through two distinct incarnations, with the constants being Doc, Johnny Prong DeBorde, Corn Man Pig and Darcy Ward. With Paul Bernstein on bass, the Apes played a funky/garagey mix of originals and covers. When Denise Woodward joined the direction turned toward more danceable fare.
